1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Quit Yapping website and progressive web application available at quityapping.com (the "Service"), operated by QUIT YAPPING PTY LTD (ABN 14 695 505 189), a company registered in New South Wales, Australia ("we", "us", "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Quit Yapping is an AI-powered tool that generates TL;DR summaries and key points from YouTube videos. You submit a YouTube URL and receive a summary generated by our AI system.
We also provide an Explore feed of pre-summarised content curated from public YouTube channels.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission.
4. Accounts
4.1 Sign-In
You may use the Service without an account (subject to usage limits) or sign in using Google OAuth. By signing in with Google, you authorise us to access your Google account name, email address, and profile picture as described in our Privacy Policy.
4.2 Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to notify us immediately at privacy@quityapping.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
4.3 Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via the settings page.
5. Free Tier and Usage Limits
The Service offers a free tier subject to daily usage limits. These limits may change at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes to free tier limits.
Anonymous (not signed in) users are subject to stricter limits than registered users.
6. Premium Subscription
6.1 Pricing
The Premium subscription is available at $3.50 AUD per month ("tree fiddy"). Pricing is in Australian dollars and inclusive of any applicable taxes.
6.2 Loyalty Discount
Continuous Premium subscribers receive a loyalty discount of $0.10 AUD off per month for each consecutive month subscribed, up to a maximum discount of $1.00 AUD per month. The minimum subscription price is therefore $2.50 AUD per month. The loyalty discount resets if your subscription lapses.
6.3 Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your nominated payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
6.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Premium access until that date.
6.5 Refunds
We offer a full refund if you request it within 7 days of your first subscription payment. After 7 days, subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law (see Section 11).
6.6 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice to registered users by email. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
7. Referral Program
7.1 Summary Sharing Referrals
All signed-in users may earn additional daily summaries by referring new users. Each successful referral earns the referrer +1 daily summary, up to a maximum of 15 summaries per day.
7.2 Premium Referrals
Premium subscribers who refer a new user who subscribes to Premium will both receive one month of Premium free. This offer is subject to change and may be withdrawn at any time.
7.3 Ambassador Program
An invite-only Ambassador program is available to students and content creators. Ambassadors receive a revenue share percentage and a free Premium account in exchange for ongoing promotion of the Service. Details are provided upon invitation.
7.4 Referral Abuse
We reserve the right to revoke referral rewards if we determine they were obtained fraudulently or through abuse of the referral system.
