DMCA Policy

Quit Yapping Pty Ltd ("Quit Yapping") respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) for US-based copyright concerns. This policy sets out how copyright owners may submit takedown notices and how Quit Yapping responds.

Quit Yapping has designated the following agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement:

Submitting a Takedown Notice

To submit a DMCA takedown notice, email creators@quityapping.com with a written communication that includes all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location on quityapping.com (URL required).
  4. Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

Incomplete notices may not be actioned.

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same email address. A valid counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it previously appeared.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the US federal court for the judicial district in which you reside (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which Quit Yapping may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who submitted the original takedown notice.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Quit Yapping may, at its discretion, terminate accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers of copyright.

Fair Use and Transformative Content

Quit Yapping generates AI summaries of publicly available YouTube videos. Summaries are transformative works: they are substantially shorter than the source, contain original analysis and structure, and link back to the original video. Quit Yapping does not host, reproduce, or distribute YouTube video content. Not all content that references a YouTube video is infringing — fair use analysis applies. Takedown notices will be reviewed on their merits.

Creator Concerns Outside DMCA

YouTube creators who wish to raise concerns about Quit Yapping summaries of their content — including concerns that do not rise to a formal DMCA takedown — can contact creators@quityapping.com. We review creator concerns case-by-case.
